Hello Cowboys ‘n Cowgirls,
I’ve checked in on y'all again and want to clarify a couple of things. First, the blogs I post are simply statements from my own warped mind and in no way reflect the opinions or beliefs of the other band members. We will never be a political band that feels the need to shove our opinions down your throats. Our music is written because of our love of music and meant to be shared with the hope of everyone being able to enjoy it together regardless of any diversity. That said, I do have strong political beliefs and will on occasion rant because that’s what I feel this is all about. But, I promise never to incorporate that into Deftones. I appreciate your continual support and look forward to touring in front of you as soon as possible.

Saturday Night Wrist is just as beautiful as all of the previous albums, I base some very happy times in my life on the release of your albums and the times spent absorbing the sounds. I would like to say that my balls itch, and i think it's all chi's fault. Seriously guys i'm not kidding, they're all flaky and red from scratching. Chi! stop being so political and representing the whole band when you know it's just you, gosh.
You know, it really is wonderful for us as listeners, that elite musicians like yourselves say what we...Can't.. Necissarily say ourselves aha. Many of us,if not all would love your sounds regardless of your political opinions expressed through them, but thank you guys none the less for having the courteousy of not shoving it down our throats, yeah hahah. The music you make is beautiful. Bush...Ahmm. Personally I don't know the real deal with him, because in Canada we don't really feel the effects quite as much obviously. But the stories we hear are either horrors or sad silly hahah. Good luck with whatever goes down!

Thanks a LOT for not being a political band, cause there is and can be only one political band - RATM and i thank them too. They're an exception for me, cause normally i think in music there should be no room for politics. Just an opinion.

i agree with what matt said. everyone who says that nothing will ever compare to white pony is ignorant. obviously there won't be anything comparable unless you guys decide to go backwards in terms of style. snw is a completely different style than the rest of the cds that you guys have come out with, and to tell you the truth, because of you guys, i've begun to like experimental/trip hop a lot more than i used to. deftones haas been my favorite band for several years now, and i don't think that'll change anytime soon... i have yet to find a band that compares to you guys. keep it up! i'm looking forward to the next album, especially if it's anything like snw. i've enjoyed seeing deftones evolve throughout the cds.

I didn't know where else to contact you guys, but i think you should definitely be getting in on the Tribute to Failure album. You'd be a great addition.
I know you guys keep a low profile, but would nice if more advertising was put out on Deftones. Rap is killing rock. I like rap, but every damn radio station plays it, and the ones that don't play AC/DC and Metallica nonstop. Not that anything is wrong with them, but doesn't boost fan interest in rock. Rap promoters seem to know a lot more about the industry and how it works. Maybe sign with one of them? More deftones on radio! The drizzle demands it.
I just read the recent blog entries. That one about Hinder cracks me up. I get pissed when these kids think bands who immitate Eddie Vetter's voice(Nickelback,Hinder, etc.) are talented. I have seen Deftones twice and regret not attending a deftones show for the 3rd time in ATL on May 25. You guys are great and I have supported any released work in the past. I can't wait to hear something new! Peace!

Hey, when you guys gonna do a tour again, I live in boston and was on my way to the show at hampton beach, and sure enough I got fucking rear ended and had to deal with the cops, straight fucking my night up, By the time I was through dealing with those fucks the show was over, fuckin salted
yah I don't like Bush either (Ron Paul 08), but you don't see me making unconstructive, dumbass comments. Also, as some people have mentioned, SNW is a great album. Anyone that doesn't like it doesn't understand shit about the Deftones. Your sound has evolved, but at the same time stayed the same - fucking awesome. Thanks for updating this blog guys, it makes us feel like we are appreciated as fans!
I hope you would consider touring Singapore next year. We need some shit stirring in this joint... so whatcha waiting for?

I heard deftones at 15 when adrenaline came out. changed my life. around the fur, stepped it up a notch. i'm not one of those "just scream all the time" guys but bring it up, the mid tempo songs from the first two albums were the best ones... but the lows accentuate the highs and vice versa. chino is up there with phil anselmo and cobain as far as vocals go... just don't let the dude play guitar. PRO-TOOLS IS RUINING MUSIC. WE WANT BANDS, NOT BRITNEY SPEARS WITH TATTOOS. you can all hate me if you want but anyone who got into deftones in the 90's didn't buy the last 2 albums...

Thank you guys for your music.Music is a necessity for me to live,just like the air.And Deftones music gives me strengh when I need it or helps me escape this world when it's too dark,too ugly.
As for the evolution of your music,I think it's the reflection of your own evolution in life and I think it also shows you are hard working and putting yourself and your music into question which I think is very important in life.
